How do you make the tax refund?

In addition, you must state at checkout that you are interested in a tax refund, and the store will provide you with a tax refund form and ask you for your passport (make sure it is valid). In the form you will receive, you will fill in all the required details (usually the sellers are aware of the procedure and help fill out the form). You must keep the form together with the purchase receipts in a safe place until the time of your flight back to Israel.

Where can I get a tax refund?

First, remember that you must present your passport, tax refund form (with purchase receipts), flight ticket (after check-in) and the items you purchased at the tax refund counters/positions.
Sometimes you will come across a counter with a clerk who will ask to see everything listed above, and sometimes there will only be positions that guide you step by step where you will have to fill in details and present the forms listed above and receive the refund form and finally chain an envelope with the tax form and receipts to the Global Blue mailbox. Depending on the time of your arrival at the field, if the clerks are there, you can get a refund for your purchase in cash (up to 1999.50 euros) and if at the Global Blue post offices (to which you can chain the envelope with the forms) in credit (up to 5000 euros).

At Milan Malpensa Airport:

  • דGlobal Blue’s tax refund counters are located in Terminal 1 on the first floor near the check-in counters (counter 12).
